DONATIONS

Advocates appreciates all donations received throughout the year. If you are looking for donation ideas, we have compiled the following lists to help.

WISH LIST FOR THE SHELTER

Seasonal Items. As we head into fall, days begin to cool, and the needs of the families staying in the shelter change. Halloween is one of our favorite times of year, we decorate and have a party for all the little ones. We keep a collection of customs, wigs, and masks along with decorations so that everyone can dress up and feel special for this the scariest evening of the year.

  • Costumes - all sizes and shapes - Moms like to dress up too.
  • Slippers - the shelter has hardwood floors that can get a bit chilly
  • Robes - most people don't bring one when they flee
  • PJ's - Plus sizes for women - we have several for smaller women
  • Twin sheets - sets are nice, new or used
  • Blankets - many of the families need the ones we have and take them when they move out
  • Laundry soap - the need is never ending, just like in our homes
  • Large size diapers - most of the children are over the age of 1 and need sizes 4,5, & 6
  • Paper Towels - with a shelter few of little ones, they are always in demand

Year-Round Items. As we have clients throughout the year, we need donations to help maintain our supplies at all times.
