Our Thrift Store

Classy Seconds is a large, well-stocked thrift store that:

  • offers exceptional retail therapy for bargain hunters

  • provides funding to support programs and services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence

  • provides clothing, furniture and housewares to survivors without charge when they move from the shelter to a home of their own  

The store offers an ever-changing inventory of clothes for men, women and children, home decor, furniture, books and so much more. Follow Classy Seconds on Facebook and Instagram for featured items, weekly discounts and special events.

Donations of gently used items are gladly accepted seven days a week before 4 pm.  Added bonus: Since the store opened in 1996, it has provided the bulk of annual funding for AEDV programs and services.

All Classy Seconds proceeds stay 100% local. Donated items are available to AEDV clients free of charge with vouchers provided to community partners for their clients. Partners include Ron Wood Family Resource Center, Carson City Health and Human Services, Job Opportunities in Nevada (JOIN), JobConnect and Carson City School District.
